The Town of Bozrah was incorporated in May, 1786 as the 86th Town in the State of Connecticut.
Bozrah is governed by a Town Meeting and Board of Selectmen form of government. The Town Meeting is the legislative body of the Town and the Board of Selectmen is responsible for the administration of Town policies. The authority of Town officials is granted by Connecticut General Statutes. Various Boards and Commissions are composed of elected and appointed officials who supervise, manage and organize the diverse functions of local government.
